KittyKickStix is aware that ‘copy-cat’ kick stix products exist in the market and we take very seriously the impact to us and your cats. Copy-Cat “Kitty Kick Stix” may not have 100% Organic Catnip, may have harmful material mixed within, and worst off not made in the USA.

Anyone can make a Kick Stix, but often they lack the high quality, freshest catnip, superior craftsmanship, and consistent hand-made production that we offer. Kitty Kick Stix has always taken pride in creating great cat toy products and we are determined to make sure all customer purchase directly from the Original Kitty Kick Stix. What is catnip?

Catnip Leaf is in fact not a medicinal herb but a narcotic. Felines have a sense of smell that is far more developed that that of humans – by a magnitude of several million. In fact, it has been suggested that felines perceive scent in the same way that humans perceive color. Just as certain wildcrafted herbs can cause humans to have visual hallucinations, so too does catnip leaf cause your tabby to experience olfactory hallucinations – which, if the typical cat response is any indication, are highly pleasurable, but ultimately harmless.

What are Kitty Kickers?

In order to satisfy your cat's natural instincts and provide the enrichment they need each day, add a kicker cat toy. Kicker catnip cat toys are made specifically for cats' natural urge to bunny kick with their rear legs at playtime.

These toys typically consist of elongated fabric or plush objects filled with catnip and sometimes other materials like crinkly paper or bells. Cats are attracted to catnip, a herbaceous plant that contains a compound called nepetalactone, which produces a euphoric reaction in many cats.

How long does the catnip last?

Catnip is a natural plant that does fade over time. Depending on the location and use of the toys, the scent can vary. We recommend storing in a sealed bag when not in use. If the catnip scent fades, simply rub additional catnip on the stick or spray with catnip spray.

Are the made in China?

Absolutely NOT. The difference between our cat toy and the thousands of others is the fact that they are 100% handmade in the USA. Even the fiber that is used to stuff each Kitty Kick Stix is Made in America. We strive for the highest quality cat toy product available and would only produce a toy that we would personally give our own cats. Learn more here. Meow!

Do you ship to Canada?

Yes we do for a flate rate of $8.95. We will provide you a tracking number from USPS once it ships, but after it leaves the USA, we do not have tracking available. We have seen it take 10-14 days from shipment to arrival in Canada.

Can you refill the Kitty Kick Stix?

The stixs are sewn shut so you cannot refill them, but we do have some suggestions. We recommend purchasing catnip spray or rubbing additional catnip on the outside. You can also put catnip in a plastic bag with the Kitty Kick Stix, then rub the catnip around the bag/stick, let it sit for 24 hours for the scent to absorb the scent. Your cat may attack the bag during this process, it is recommended you do this while they are sleeping. When toy is not in use, reseal in a zip bag to conserve the catnip freshness.

Do they come with any sort of Guarantee?

Sure thing. We understand manufacturing mistakes may happen when sewing each of these toys and being around so much catnip. If you have an issues, please contact us with photos and the description of the issue. We will be glad to look into the issue further and assist with resolution.

Our goal is to provide a fun, handmade, cat toy and trying to keep our cats from being bored and sleeping around the house all day. Please share the love of the Kitty Kick Stix.

How do I keep my catnip fresh?

Catnip is a natural plant and will fade with time. Weather, temperature, and location play an important part on how long the ‘scent’ lasts. We recommend catnip spray to refresh the stixs from time to time. You can also put in a plastic bag with the Kitty Kick Stix, then rub the catnip around the bag and stix. Seal the bag for for 24 hours for the stix to absorb the scent. When toy is not in use, reseal in a zip bag and store it in the freezer to conserve the catnip freshness.

The smell is so STRONG my cat is STONED

We have seen this happen before. We use ultra-potent catnip and mix it throughout the stix. Our catnip is grown in the USA and never sits out for more than 3 days – some of the strongest available. We recommend you provide some water to your cat and turn on the TV. Your cat may need to take a ‘catnap’ for a bit before playing again.

My stick ripped?

Oh no! It is recommended you trim your cat's nails regularly to extend the longevity of our toys. These are soft cotton fabrics and we cannot guarantee all cat's nail will not rip or tear the cotton fabric. Sharp or untrimmed nails will breakdown our toys. We do add extra strong catnip to the center, sometimes cats will do anything to get to that scent. Since all cats react differently, we can't guarantee every stix. We recommend always supervising playtime as some cats will do anything to get to the nip.

Can I return this product? My feline is not interested in it.

Sometimes rubbing an existing toy with this helps or rubbing extra catnip on the outside, then seal it in a zip-locked bag.  Another thing to try is rubbing Honey Suckle or Catnip spray on the outside of the toy.

Due to the nature of this being a pet product, we can't take any opened products back due to health reasons as specified on our site.
